The documentation doesn't show it, but is there a way to change the Wifi password?
Anyone with a cell phone could find the SSID, connect with the default wifi password, and really mess around with a live performances.

@Wes, we're tied to that dongle specifically for this version. Unfortunately even this dongle wasn't plug and play, getting it to work with linux required firmware etc.
Something you might want to try is hooking it up to and external wifi router. Dedicated wireless hardware will certainly have better transmission range for example. Connecting via ethernet is also a great option.
Networking config is happening very soon, it's one of the features that just barely didn't make it for MVP and is mostly implemented already.
Hope this helps! :)

Any chance we can stuff in a 5GHz dongle instead of the 2.4GHz one that shipped with the unit? Does it just use the first network interface it finds? Any recommendations? (assuming anything that works with Ubuntu 16.04?)

Hi Jules, the team is working on this at the moment and network configuration will be possible in a future update.
In the short term you could remove the WiFi dongle and use ethernet - we already recommend using ethernet for busy venues where WiFi traffic can be problematic.
