There are times when you may want to keep 95% of the stage config the same, but just change a couple of things, especially when you want to do testing of slightly different stage configurations.
At the moment there is no option to duplicate stages, so you have to create everything again from scratch each time.
The workaround I have been using is to just download the stage, then edit the JSON file and change the stage name, and one or more characters in the stage ID, and then import that modified stage.
Obviously this is not a great solution, so it would be nice to have a proper stage duplicate option.
