Can this be powered by POE, usb cable sucks as its easily pulled out accidently.
the less cables the better as well IMO

If no PoE possiblility (a lot of work and room for components), then maybe different kind connector, which is better for this kind equipment?
This would be possible just updating other end (if there is room for screw inside in than place).
