Hi, as I use both a floor midi controller and an Akai LPD8 desktop controller, I’d love the ability to be able to use these at the same time, using the 2 USB ports on the Maestro DMX. Cheers.

It is a great idea... and also, as you can see there are over 200 feature requests and many are great. We consider things like upvotes when planning our roadmap, this feature currently has no upvotes. The thing about this is, is affects a very small portion of our users (about 20-25% of our users are using MIDI, and a much smaller percentage than that require control from more than one device concurrently), so it's more difficult to justify prioritizing over other features (currently it's artnet coming very soon, then more fixture groups, more effect buttons...).
Perhaps you can reach out to support and we can help you source some hardware that will merge your MIDI signals without it needed to happen within our platform?
For example I just did a quick google and it looks like this one will merge directly with USBmidi without needing to convert to dins..

If you'd like us to help you find a solution to this, I do think it's possible!

Noticed there’s no progress on this and it’s kinda becoming a deal breaker, the workarounds are not ideal as it requires all my midi gear to have dins, then merged to usb. Is this feature ever going to happen. Admin, you said yourself it was a great idea.

I will checkout with the team on how hard this would be, it's a great suggestion.

Definitely worth an upvote!
You may be able to get a third party midi merger - especially if you use the midi out ports instead of USB, and then have a merge/USB device into Maestro in the meantime.

Any change this will be implemented ? I got a location which needs 2 positions to control the unit.. Behind the Bar, and @ the DJ booth.. I want to use 2 akai LPD8 . i now have t use a USB switch to swap over... but i need to get them working at the same time.
Regards
