As a lighting designer, I want to control tempo and duration, so I can align chasee sequences and pulsating effects in sync with the rhythm.
Acceptance criteria:
The tempo should be defined in beats per minute (bpm). It defines the phase synchronisation, so when beats occur, effects pulse and chase sequences are coherent with the bpm.
Step duration: Length of a step should be configurable with note values:
Full note, 1/2 note, 1/4 note, 1/8 note, 1/16 note, 1/32 note and multiples of a full note: x2, x4, x8, x16, x32.
In the simplest case the sequence should advance to the next step based on the bpm and the beat multiplier.
Ideally sequences should start on the downbeat of a bar or phrase, which leads to that the sequence first step should wait for the downbeat.
The speed rotary button in advanced parameters could be replaced with note value multipliers. Ideally for live control, you should be able to click on a note value for a temporary change and then return to the program's note value. This could then be used for strobing effect in build ups or slow down in a breakdown.
Ideally there should be a tap tempo button in case the audio input signal is not used to set the master tempo.
