I am working on a project with several Kaufh Bulbs that support the Distributed Display Protocol (DDP). I would love to see Maestro support for DDP, as this would enable the control of multiple third-party lighting systems (such as WLED) using a more efficient protocol than ArtNET or E.131. Thanks!

Ahh yes that reminds me of some interesting frankenstein audio adapter situations i've dealt with in the past.... the struggle is real hehe.

Unfortunately, the bulbs I am using are currently only set up for DDP. I was able to find a solution using Falcon Player (FPP) running in a virtual machine. FPP allowed me to map Maestro (DMX out) --> (DMX in) eDMX King (ArtNet out) --> (ArtNet in) FPP (DDP out) --> (DDP in) Light. Granted, it's a bit overly complicated, but it works for my immediate needs. The Kaufh Bulbs are running WLED under the hood, so adding ArtNet support to them shouldn't be too hard.
I'm definitely looking forward to ArtNet Support on Maestro!

Are you able to receive artnet? We do have that in our plan for the year. Most of the DDP fixtures i've used can be configured to receive artnet also.
I can definitely add this feature request to our backlog, though compared to artnet which is requested very frequently, this is the first time we've had this request, so we won't be able to prioritize it in the same way (it may happen sometime in the future, but it will be a while and currently not planned for the year)
Let me know :)

That's interesting, thank you for sharing. I'm only looking to control around 18 lights via DDP. Could you consider offering limited support in Maestro for DDP? It's a nice compliment for background lighting with the traditional DMX fixtures.
To give you an idea of my setup, I have 18 bulbs arranged in a 3x6 grid of can lights on the ceiling. Also mounted to the ceiling are traditional DMX moving head fixtures. I was considering replacing all of the can lights with a similar DMX downlight fixture, but the bulbs are much easier and more cost-effective.

Hi Bryan!
Our company has a separate product called Aurora for larger commercial / industrial projects that supports DDP.
https://limbicmedia.ca/aurora/
Feel free to reach out to them, the controller is priced for businesses and larger architectural projects.
Later this year we plan to release artnet with Maestro.
Cheers
