Crossfade, Follow Cue, FX Pallets

Crossfade: When going from one cue to the other, it fades to back and then fades in to the next cue. This is incredibly disruptive, and my only "fix" is to have no transition time, and it still will twitch or black out some fixtures if there's a snapshot being loaded. Could it just crossfade as default?

Follow Cue: Say I want to make a series of looks for an event type, like a Prom. I also want a series of looks for Live Music, DJ Nights, Ambient looks, and so forth. I would love to be able to send an OSC command saying "Play Cue 5" because that is my first Prom look, it marches through the Cues in order, and once it reaches the end of Cue 9 it loops back to Cue 5.

Snapshots/Pallets between Cues: If I am calling up the same FX Pallet or Snapshot, it would be nice for it to not unload and then load. This is part of the Crossfade/Transition issue where it is disruptive to change looks.

Multiple Snapshots at Once: If I have multiple Snapshots in an FX Pallet, instead of running all of them, it cycles through and loads/unloads them. I like the idea of building up specific FX Pallets from a series of Snapshots so I can customize for different events, but instead I have to make a master Snapshot.

I would also like to up-vote the crossfade!

If/when this is added, I have 2 more suggestions specifically related to cues...

  • Add a on/off switch to each cue. I like to have a few standardized cues I use across various shows (pre-show, intermission, etc.) However, if my show (let's use All Night Dance Floor as an example) uses Fixed Time to cycle through all the cues, it would hit/play one of my cues which tend to be set to infinity. As a result, I have to load a different show (and make sure the cue I want is at the top for auto play) to access these cues, then reload the All Night Dance Floor to go back to our regular scheduled programming
  • Save/Load single cues. This would be handy to move single cues between shows. As it is now, I have to manually recrate any cue I want to use from one show in another. Lots of settings to copy and lots of room for errors. If I tweak any of these cues, I have to tweak them all in each show rather than simply deleting the cue from a show and loading the updated one.

Gabby,

We currently have 2 of your units, and pitching for a third, but that Crossfade issue is a real deal-killer for almost every application. So I upvoted every comment here, but tossing in the importance as an installer / lighting designer at an amusement park. We want to use these units for our evening band nights, performing arts events, and our karaoke space that operates every night (with a regular huge turnout), and even adding it to our convention space / ballroom location. But that dip to black that can only be avoided by a 0 Transition Time (which is incredibly jarring) is keeping me from utilizing it in those spaces. The second unit is currently sitting on my desk as I am hesitant to install it due to that issue.

Hi Bennie,

I spoke with the team about this and we're tempted to re-prioritize, though nothing confirmed yet.  Upvotes here affect our feature prioritization, so please do upvote.

Thanks

The "dip to black" effect that happens when changing between CUEs i very creatively limiting and the venue that I run hates it and want to trash the whole system. I adjusted all transitions for 0, but that just creates hard cuts that are not always aesthetically pleasing.  When will we get a cross fade or more transition options??

Thanks Cassidy!

Some of these have been requested but I can't link them because you've made 4 feature requests in one card. Appreciate the feedback, many of these are on our radar.
