2D or 3D Spatial Awareness.

Would you consider adding the ability to customize the stage layout — specifically, letting users define where each fixture physically sits on stage (e.g., upstage left, downstage center, truss vs. floor)? If Maestro understood each fixture's actual position, it could make smarter decisions about which fixtures to fire and when — enabling positional effects like left-to-right sweeps, front/back depth contrast, and spatially aware chases that match the geometry of a real stage.

Right now the auto-generated looks are great, but they treat the rig somewhat abstractly. Spatial awareness of the fixture layout would make the output feel intentionally designed rather than generated.

Hi there!

We have considered this and are working on it.

As is, for fixtures in a group, if you carefully arrange them in the layout tab to reflect the order on the stage, the effects will be symmetrical and include chases.

We also have 2D grid support, so if you have a grid of fixtures you can configure the patterns to traverse in 2D.

Of course more in-depth control, with an interface to place the fixtures on the stage would be great and it's something we would like to implement eventually.  I would for now start by checking out the 1 and 2D layout support we currently have.

Thanks :)
