The strobe button on the show tab has only flash rate and brightness. When using the strobe the light on and off speed looks around 50/50. For the stroboscopic effect to work properly the flash must be very short with the rest of the time dark. Can you add a slider to the strobe effect parameters so we can adjust the ratio between lights on and lights off?
Building on that, could you add a new branch of snapshots specifically for the strobe? Some lights/channels don't strobe well, so would be good to black them out.
It could also bring an opportunity to use the built in strobe channels that many lights have. I know sending out a wave of "activate strobe channel now" commands would likely create a chaotic spattering of uncontrolled light bursts. To solve this I'd consider nominating one light as the strobe master, and then have a manually adjusted start delay trim for each of the lights slaved to it. User would calibrate each fixture 1-by-1. Then do the same with the flash rate. So master at minimum speed, and adjust the slaves to match, then repeat at say 25% speed. Faster than that may be difficult to do by eye, so assume the scale increases linearly. Maybe a future project could be automatic calibration with a USB/UVC webcam.
Just spit-balling some ideas. I hope they make it into a future build!

Hi Dave!
Thanks for your feedback.
Version 1.6 will be out soon, maybe 2 weeks from now, and we've added some new trobe features so please check them out. They don't encapsulate what you're describing here but i'd be interested to hear more from you once you try them out, what you think.
This doesn't yet include using the built in strobe features on lights but this is very much on our radar. Something interesting is that our fixture library provides Hz speeds for the strobe rates of the fixtures, so as long as those values are correct for a given feature, techbically our strobe speed parameter could control the built in strobe speeds, and strobe all the fixtures at the same rate even if they came from different manufacturers (if desired). As you will see in 1.6, we've already added some scattering and chase style strobes (as well as color strobes) to the rgb stobe effect.
As for disabling strobes, you can do that at a fixture group level. As of the next version you will have 10 fixture groups, so separating the fixtures into groups and disabling the strobe that way might make sense.
Thanks for your feedback!
