Hi maestroDMX Team,
I'm setting up a fixture profile for the Clay Paky Stage Light 300, where a single DMX channel (Channel 4) controls Dimmer, Shutter/Stopper, and Strobe across different DMX ranges.
Here is how the channel value mapping is laid out:
0 (0%): Closed
1 – 128: Dimmer linear control (0% to 100%)
128 – 139: Open
140 – 243: Strobe speed (Slow 1 flash/sec to Fast 11 flashes/sec)
244 – 255: Open
How should I define this channel in the Custom Fixture Creator so maestroDMX correctly recognizes when it's acting as a standard Dimmer vs. Strobe vs. Shutter Open/Closed?
Is there a recommended way to split these functions, or can a multi-range capability be implemented for channels that share Dimmer and Strobe functions?
Thanks!

For now I would set this to a "Dimmer" channel, with a range of 0-128.
Maestro strobes by using the Dimmer channel, so this should work for this fixture. Proper use of shutter attributes will be solved in a future version of the system.
Thanks for all of your thoughtful feedback
