Patch multiple fixtures at a time

As a user with a lot of RGB wash fixtures, I have the need to patch multiple fixtures right after one an other.

I would have liked that when patching one fixture, I would get the option to create a variable amount of copies of the same fixture placed at the next available DMX address.

This would allow for the creation of 2D grid, whereas the current feature for repeat fixture channels does not allow for creating 2D grid as the 2D grid needs fixtures to be configured.

For example,  If you have an RGB fixture at address 100, and you select "repeat" to 10, that will automatically set lights at 100, 103, 106, 109, etc... if that makes sense.

Not sure how to respond in a thread here. I'm asking about the repeat channel function. If 110 fixtures do all 10 have other same address? This is supposed to make the lights act as one light correct?

if you want the fixtures to run independently, they will need to have different addresses.  If you use the duplicate option it will place new fixtures at the next available address after the highest existing address being used.  Hope this helps!

Hi there!

It's not perfect, but i recommend using the "duplicate" function repeatedly for now:  that will place each fixture at the next available address range.

Thanks for your feedback!
