MIDI notes over USB are not being received from Reaper or Ableton. All different octaves have been tried and out put channel 16 has been confirmed. External MIDI controller notes received.

Thanks a lot Gabby. I have tried with a Bluetooth connection and iPad, which works. I fear my cables might not be working properly. I'll try and get on the zoom calls and get new cable.

If it's set up properly, it should work.  You dont have to do anything for Maestro other than plug it in.

Double check that you're sending on Channel 16.  Try a bunch of different MIDI notes.  One thing I like to do is start with a USB keyboard so that I have a ground truth of something working.

Please contact support if you need more assistance! All I can say right now is that personally I use Maestro with Ableton with my music projects and I know that it does work. We are planning to make MIDI support (including debugging information) easier in a future release. We're still a new product and I know setting up MIDI is a bit opaque, bare with us as we work towards consistent improvements :).

ps office hours are great if you are able to join our zoom calls you can get remote support from a real (and awesome) person over video.

Yes, I'm using two CME U2MIDI Pro cables. I've tried connecting them all different ways.

How do I make the Maestro a host?

Do you have two midi to usb cables connected together?  Both devices need to be the host.

It does work with Ableton we've used it before.
