Feature Request – Password Protection for Web App Access

Dear MaestroDMX Team,

I’ve been using the MaestroDMX controller and appreciate how AI simplifies DMX channel control. However, I have a serious concern regarding security. As it stands, if someone knows the web app's address, they could theoretically access and manipulate the system without authorization.

This is a major issue. If a customer  figures out the URL, they might be able to tamper with our lighting settings, which could cause disruptions. Right now, I don’t see any built-in way to restrict access properly.

I strongly urge you to implement a password setup and user management system for web app access. Ideally, this would include:

• A mandatory login page with password protection.
• Role-based access control (e.g., admin vs. operator).
• (Two-factor authentication for added security.)

This would ensure that only authorized personnel can access and control the DMX system, preventing potential misuse. I hope this can be prioritized in an upcoming update.
