Features

Trigger Button Improvements

The Trigger Buttons (Strobe / Blinder / Blackout / Fog / Effect) have been overhauled.  You can now choose for the trigger to be momentary or latching.  You can now configure the following trigger parameters: Strobe rate/brightness, Blinder brightness, Fog continuous or timer-based mode with duration and interval controls. You can now also enable or disable each Trigger Button for each fixture group.

Improvements to MIDI

Based on customer feedback, we’ve expanded our MIDI spec to control:

  • Global Brightness.

  • Trigger Buttons and Trigger configuration parameters.

  • For each fixture group: Brightness, Excitement, Background, Mover Range, Mover Speed.

  • Next and Previous Show.

New Core Pattern: FlashBang

We exposed a strobe-like pattern, with both audio-reactive and non-reactive functionality.  Set up custom strobe effects and save them as cues to trigger in your show.

New attributes

  • The ZOOM attribute is now dynamic (controlled by MaestroDMX)

  • The new ACTIVITY attribute is simply the audio activity.  This can be applied to various parameters, such as speed parameters, effects, and also rotations (actual dynamic rotation/direction coming in a future release).

  • FOG VOLUME has been added and can be controlled via the Fog Trigger Button configuration parameters.

Bug Fixes

  • Ongoing improvements to transitions

  • Color Wheels will select the base color in a palette if there is no beat, and sample from pixels if a beat is present, with faster response times to changes in the palette.

  • Various UI fixes

Known Bugs

  • If you are changing global brightness during a show transition, it stops the show.

  • In Firefox you cannot select attribute types from table view

  • When adding a number of color wheel fixtures using repeats, the fixtures are always syncing to the same color wheel value instead of different pixel colors.

  • Upon a factory reset, Maestro fails to send DMX data on the first boot: A power cycle fixes the problem.

  • After changing anything on the stage, the Show goes back to the first cue (note: fix for this in v1.4).

  • Upon attempting to delete a built-in profile, Maestro does not delete it (it shouldn't) but it shows a green checkmark and " successfully deleted '[fixture name]' "

  • Fixtures still on in the tertiary group when group level brightness is set to zero

  • On reboot, the tertiary fixture group reverts to the incorrect pattern:  selecting a new cue fixes this (fix coming in 1.4)

  • When adding color wheel steps to existing fixture profiles, unexpected behaviour with upper range:  this can be fixed by exiting and entering the color wheel page.
