Free MaestroDMX Shows
For your pleasure, please enjoy these Shows created by our staff:
- Corporate Show
- Rock Concert Show
- All Night Dance Floor Show
- Default Show (Already on your MaestroDMX unit)
IMPORTANT: The Shows will not be loaded onto your MaestroDMX unit when you update the software. You have to download them and then upload them to your MaestroDMX via the app. This can be done on the 'Show' page next to the Show drop-down menu.
FEATURES
Backup/Restore User Configuration
Previously, users needed to download shows, stages, and fixture profiles individually. We’ve now added the ability to download and upload the entire configuration in a single file.
Custom Color Palettes and Groups
We’ve added the ability to create custom color palettes and custom color palette groups. These palettes can have up to 10 colors, and the colors include RGB, White, Amber, and UV channels.
You can build palettes with our color theory suggestion palette.
You can search palettes based on their name, and filter for system or user palettes.
New Maestro Pattern
Beam Pattern
Adding motion to the ‘Still’ pattern caused confusion, so we’ve removed it and added a new pattern with static colors and moving lights.
New Core Patterns
Twinkle pattern
Adds a Twinkly effect to your lights.
Starry Sky
Oscillators that shift in and out of phase with one another
Chase Random
Adds chases on the beat or the kick drum hits
Addition of “Shape” parameter to Core patterns
This allows you to select the direction of movement and more complex motion shapes in a 2D layout.
More Default Shows
We’ve added more shows to the default build to check out. Note, they will only show up if you do a factory reset. If you aren’t doing a full reset config, you can download these new shows along with the software package for v1.4.1
Improvements to MIDI/OSC Control
We modified the indexing for selecting patterns and palettes to be consistent and not scaled. One index in MIDI and OSC both corresponds to one pattern or palette.
You can now select Shows via MIDI.
The MIDI and OSC values are displayed in the web app under Live Control for ease of reference.
Brightness, Blackout, and Blinder Attributes
We’ve added a new channel type attribute that passes through the global brightness information and goes to 0 during blackouts.
We’ve also added new channel types for blackout and blinder, allowing you to set ON and OFF values that return ON if those triggers are active and OFF otherwise.
Networking/Wifi
Wifi and networking were moved under a single Network page.
SQUASHED BUGS
Show FX Palette Snapshot preview respects the active Fixture Group
The network configuration is not saving its state on reboot. **Note: We have fixed this in some cases, but this still requires additional work
Audio config state now saves on reboot
Solo fixture doesn't change laser/derbies
Fixture Group Brightness changing too slowly
Clicking in the middle of the editable text field, it goes to the end
Adding custom fixtures wasn't showing the number of rows to add
When deleting an FX Palette, the snapshot stayed active
When duplicating a snapshot, the linking would disappear
The selection box around the Pattern description text overlaps with the next pattern when there is more than three lines of description text
White only palette is not responding to brightness
Saving a fixture with snapshots to profile and then adding it to a new stage causes issues
Mapping Pattern Fix - if you set the 2D segment length to longer than the total pixels, it would crash
Novation Launchpad Mini MK3 now works with Maestro
Various stale cache issues
KNOWN BUGS
After a Factory Reset or Backup Restore, Maestro sometimes fails to send DMX data; a power cycle resolves this issue.
Triggers and FX Palettes do not work when the show is stopped or paused. This is currently by design and will require significant changes to address.
Changing a snapshot attribute value back to the default keeps the value highlighted in blue.
Loading an older stage does not offer a fourth fixture group option.
When changing parameters in Live Control, the Show badge incorrectly displays "Stopped" instead of "Live."
In the solid color pattern, the color preview bar does not update when changing individual palettes.
On the Control Page, when an attribute's smoothing is changed, the values change unexpectedly.
When multiple clients connect to Maestro at the same time, the snapshot preview can become glitchy and pick the wrong preview. If you find this, please close all but one client window.
With multiple clients connected to Maestro concurrently, sometimes the kick drum notification isn’t accurate in all windows.
When creating multiple snapshots with gobos or prisms and linking across multiple fixtures, the snapshot gets cleared
